35th Birthday Bash

Celebrate 35 years of Oregon MESA with a bash!

Join us for a virtual fundraiser on September 10th, 2020 at 7:00 PM

MESA started serving students in Oregon in the Fall of 1985 and we're celebrating this milestone with a 35th Birthday Bash, a virtual fundraiser to benefit Oregon MESA.

This fundraiser will help raise critical funds for our program as we meet the changing needs of our students and families in this upcoming year. While the 2020-21 school year will look nothing like we ever imagined, from distributing supplies directly to students to virtual chapters to new partnerships, Oregon MESA is committed to applying our practices of invention, innovation, and equity to adapt our programming to meet the needs of our students, teachers, and families.

Our Birthday Bash is also an opportunity to come together and celebrate Oregon MESA and the incredible folks who have been a part of the program for the last 35 years. Born out of the civil rights movement and founded by leaders of color in Portland, Oregon MESA has been an enduring and positive presence in the lives of young people for over three decades.

And don't forget to follow the event on Facebook and add it to your calendar. We hope to see you online this September!

What about the Gala?

We had to cancel our 35th Anniversary Gala scheduled for March 12th, 2020 due to COVID-19. We still want to see you all and celebrate in person when it is safe to do so for our in-person Gala in 2021.

If you purchased tickets to our Gala back in March those tickets will still be valid for our in-person event when it is rescheduled in 2021.

We still want to celebrate our 35th year and honor the history and legacy of Oregon MESA, so we hope that you can join us on September 10th, 2020.
