MESA Community College Program
Supporting the graduation and persistence of underrepresented students in STEM.
The MESA Community College Program
While new to Oregon, the MESA Community College Program (MCCP) has successfully supported students in the US for over 30 years. Oregon MESA is now accepting applications for a new cohort of MCCP students at Portland Community College's Southeast Campus.
During the program, students are engaged in the following:
ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE WORKSHOPS
Students will learn skills that support successful completion of math-based science courses at PCC and beyond.
Students will receive guidance on which courses to take and which classes will transfer to 4-year institutions.
STUDENT STUDY CENTER
Students can use the PCC-SE STEM club space as a welcoming and supporting space to study for classes.
Students learn which skills are valued by industry partners.
Students will be able to interact with industry leaders and gain valuable insights into corporate culture, soft skills, and effective courses of study.
SUPPORT THROUGHOUT THE ACADEMIC YEAR
MCCP begins in October and continues through June.
