The Search for our Next Executive Director

We are excited to announce the search for our next permanent Executive Director has finally started. Finding the right person to fill this role is critical to our continued success and future impacts. As a valued member of our community, we need your help in spreading the word and finding the perfect candidate for this important leadership position. 

Here at Oregon MESA we are working to provide students underrepresented in STEM fields with the skills, knowledge, and opportunities to develop their talents, explore technology-based careers, enter college, and compete successfully in the workforce. As we continue to grow and expand our impact, we are looking for a dynamic leader who shares our passion and vision.

Oregon MESA‘s Executive Director will lead a dedicated team of staff and advisory board members to create a shared vision for the future of Oregon MESA and will champion efforts to dismantle inequitable systems and promote diversity, equity and inclusion. A strong mentor, the ideal candidate is committed to staff engagement and development and fosters a positive atmosphere that enables staff to successfully execute initiatives. Importantly, the Executive Director has a strong sense of humor with the ability to laugh and have fun. The ideal candidate appreciates STEM and invention education and values the importance of a safe, supportive, fun environment where students can try, fail, and try again. This leader creates a collaborative culture that acknowledges, encourages, and celebrates differences and supports the development of invention skills and entrepreneurship.
